The University of Tennessee was looking for a partner with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) expertise to support Tennessee’s small business community that provides services to the U.S. government.
Solution
Boston Government Services (BGS) partnered with UT Knoxville to provided wide-spread awareness activities and education and to deliver compliant solutions. By conducting CMMC compliance workshops to introduce small businesses to forthcoming Department of Defense (DoD) requirements, conducting gap analyses and delivering solutions to address gaps, BGS has been able to help over a dozen organizations in the national supply chain to begin improving their cybersecurity practices.
BGS is a DoD premier CMMC compliance partner for the manufacturing and industrial sectors. BGS has delivered CMMC training courses across Tennessee and has tailored a quick gap-analysis process to help small organizations identify opportunities to align with CMMC/NIST SP 800-171 requirements in order to secure government data entrusted to their supply chain partners.
As part of the engagement, BGS established a roadmap to address compliance gaps, and guided small businesses in completing required actions. BGS provides policies, procedures, and system security plans, and delivers technical solutions. BGS provides long-term secure managed services as needed to support continuous monitoring needs.
