Chris Dean
Senior Vice President
Chris Dean is Senior Vice President at BGS, delivering executive business operations leadership, business development, oversight of projects, and overall strategic direction for the BGS Nuclear Services business area.
Over the past 20 years, Dean has demonstrated his proficiency and expertise in business leadership, management, and development. He has led the growth and diversification for each of his organizations, successfully winning new opportunities and capturing new markets in the government and commercial nuclear industry. His experience includes seven years as a Division Manager for Science Applications International Corporation and ten years as Vice President for Nuclear Safety Associates, Inc.
He has more than 34 years of experience leading nuclear engineering and security projects and organizations. He has held executive roles for both large and small businesses and produced consistent business growth and led successful operations in the government and commercial nuclear markets. Dean possesses more than 28 years of successful line management experience and more than 25 years of experience in developing, managing, and executing large projects.
Dean has successfully established and managed major contracts/projects providing both staff augmentation and task-based support in the areas of nuclear safety, engineering services, safeguards and security, and other technical and professional disciplines. Dean is also a qualified Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the development, implementation, and review of nuclear safety documentation for DOE/NNSA and commercial nuclear facilities. He has more than 15 years’ experience in performing criticality hazard analyses, criticality safety evaluations, criticality accident alarm system assessments, criticality safety program development and criticality risk analyses for nuclear facilities in the U.S. and Canada.
Dean graduated from West Virginia University with a M.S. in Physics and from Marshall University with a B.S. in Physics.
