Kirt Marlow
Senior Vice President, Nuclear Solutions
Kirt Marlow leads the Nuclear Solutions business unit at Boston Government Services, LLC (BGS). He directs unit strategic direction, staff development, financial planning and profit/loss management.
The BGS Nuclear Solutions unit services federal and commercial customers across the nuclear industry. The group provides customers with extensive expertise in nuclear safety, NRC-licensing, design engineering, readiness, technology roadmaps, and programmatic support. The group’s current customers include several offices within the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DOD), power utilities, and advanced reactor developers. BGS is supporting work on nuclear facility development, facility modifications, fuel cycle work, advanced reactor demonstrations, and existing facility upgrades.
Mr. Marlow has been in the nuclear industry for 30 years supporting federal and commercial customers domestically and overseas. He attended undergraduate and graduate programs at Idaho State University. He began his career at Science Applications International Corp. working with dose and shield calculations for the Nevada Test Site. He supported the design and commissioning of the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project and permitting support for the New Waste Calcine Facility in Idaho. His work has included DOE dose and shielding calculations, CBRN defense for the DOD (CONUS & OCONUS), design & licensing of nuclear facilities, and various energy projects internationally.
He functioned in senior management with Areva during the design, licensing, and development of the Eagle Rock Uranium Enrichment project. Delivering presentations to the NRC Region II and headquarters offices regarding the design and quality assurance implementation. With Areva Renewables, the same management team oversaw the design, construction, and commissioning of large thermal-solar projects in Western India, Eastern Australia, and Arizona. He has delivered presentations on future energy projects in Mexico, Canada, and France.
Mr. Marlow serves as part of the Energy Communities Alliance, supporting communities across the DOE complex. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Idaho Advanced Energy Consortium (IAEC), a non-profit organization promoting the implementation of new nuclear energy initiatives in a multi-state region around the State of Idaho.
