Senior Vice President
Chris Dean joined BGS in December 2016 as a Senior Vice President to deliver senior business operations leadership, business development, oversight of projects, and overall strategic direction for the BGS Technical Services business area. Over the past 18 years, Mr. Dean has demonstrated his proficiency and expertise in business leadership, management, and development. He has led the growth and diversification for each of his organizations, successfully winning new opportunities and capturing new markets in the nuclear and security business segments.
Mr. Dean graduated from West Virginia University with a M.S. in Physics and from Marshall University with a B.S. in Physics. He has over 28 years of experience as a Hazard and Risk Analyst, Nuclear Safety Engineer, Nuclear Safety Manager, Security Analyst, and Program/Project Manager in the aerospace, chemical processing, and nuclear industries. He is an experienced fire and explosion hazards analyst, a qualified senior nuclear criticality safety (NCS) engineer, and an experienced nuclear facility safety engineer who has developed, implemented, and reviewed Safety Basis documentation at several DOE and commercial facilities. He also has significant expertise in the development and management of safeguards and security programs, including classification, radiological sabotage assessments, and security vulnerability assessments for critical infrastructure.
